Okay guys and gals, I'm looking for a good source for K3L-3 roller bearings to replace the very old ones during my rebuild. I've examined the bearings I currently have and they definitely need to be replaced. The issue is that I don't seem to be able to find them readily available, so I was wondering if anyone had any spares they would be willing to sell me. Yes, I need to replace every roller bearing. My plane i.e. N18VP was built by Taylor in 1969 and I'm basically having to do extensive work to get the plane back into flying condition because the previous owner neglected it.

I would appreciate any roller bearings that you might have guys.

3/4" shower door rollers from Ace Hardware. Get the squared off kind.

Hi Bill and Bob!

Yes, I'm referring to the canopy roller bearings. Sorry if I didn't make that very clear. Bob I've seen the postings for the shower door rollers, I was just trying to duplicate the original parts. That being said, if I cannot find a source for K3L-3 roller bearings then I may have to do as you suggest.

BTW, I'm happy to see you guys came through Irma relatively unscathed. I love Florida after living there for so long, but I don't miss hurricane season! :)

Thank you gentlemen!!

Shower rollers better. Don't wear the rail as much. You really don't want to replace the rail. Big job.

Thanks for the tip on the shower rollers. It just saved me $100 over buying through spruce.

well, I just figured out that since my canopy frame is already drilled, the shower roller bearings wont work. The shower roller bearings are .75" outside diameter and the K3L3 bearings are .635" outside diameter. Meaning the shower bearings are too big for my pre-drilled holes.

I believe I still have them as well. I'll have to check when I get back home.

I bought some of these from Spruce prior to seeing all the suggestions: KP3A HEIM BEARING KP3A
Its good to know the K3L3 bearings are available should the ones from Spruce not fit good.
