Post subject:  Access to valve stem

I had purchased the small SS spring loaded doors (Spruce) to put on my wheel pants to access the valve stem thru the wheel pant, but when it came time to install them, they were too small for me. I came upon a site that would install small access doors on your Cessna wheel pants and they gave me the idea to install mine. There have been NL articles on other ways to access the stem, from plates that are held on with screws, to pop out plugs. I wanted something that required no tools to remove and this is what I came up with. A small hinged door, that opens with a miniature captive thumb screw. By the time it is painted, I think it will blend in very well with he pant. The two SS spring loaded doors are for sale 1/2 price...Spruce P/N 05-02124 $22.75 each. 1/2 off that and free shipping. I also have two 5.00 x-5 tubes. Specialty tubes. New...installed, but never been to the airport. Only used to roll A/C into and out of hanger/shop. Technically, you are not suppose to reuse a tube. IF not for a flying A/C, they would be great to use for a project to roll around until the magic moment comes. I replaced these "new tubes" with new Leak Guard tubes. $25.00 each and free shipping.
