Hi.

I start rebuilding my Thorp last month and I want to now what is better, Standard or extended gear.
I don't now what is my model. The wheel axle is bolted directly at the bottom of the gear tube. I have no prop at this time on the plane. I want to install a fixe pitch prop.
I put pictures of my gear tomorrow.

I need help about that!!!

Merci.

I think the balance of opinion is that the longer gear is slightly better than the standard, with improved landing attitude and prop clearance. However when the topic has been discussed previously there are still a number of users with the standard gear who seem happy with that set up.
In Australia the regulator required the longer gear to be used.
