Thorp Air Command - T18.net

Well...looks like the wind Gods are with us this year as the forecast is for light winds and temps in the low 80's . Right now I expect 25-28 attendees . I will have a POD at the check in table along with new and improved name tags to identify America's Most Wanted ! Expect a full day of activities on Saturday from flying to informative briefings on FAA paperwork (I hear the sound of gun shots in the distance) . We will have plenty of transportation available should those that want to spend $$$ in town vs flying can do so . I will be arriving from KSEE and in the chocks on Friday morning around 1000 . Vicki and I will be hittin' the road on midday Thursday. About an 11 hr. drive, so we plan to roll in on Friday. I'll miss doing the trip in the Thorp, but it'll be great to see everyone and the airplanes again!

Les Krumel brought his 'new' Thorp' this year. The polished wings are blindingly reflective. Bruce and Diane Finley will no doubt win in the 'Most Traveled Thorp' category this year. With Fred Cliftons arrival in a few hours, we'll have an even 13 Thorps on the ramp this year. Thanks to Rich for organizing another great gathering in Sedona.
