I have two. They are both mounted on a panel on the belly, up front between the exhaust pipes. Working fine GI. I do recommend mounting them to a panel.

I mounted my Grand Rapids OAT probe in the left wing gap strip. About 14 inches back from the leading edge in the center of the strip.
