Rich,

You'll cut thank me after you eat at Bambi's place at Hemet. Shes great. Also, El Monte has great food. I will contact Brent to bring his Thorp as well. His really cooks with his new motor. But our mouse motor Thorp doesn't do so bad either.

Happy landings!

Speaking of formation cards .. Cubes told me that he renewed his flight lead card this weekend, Scott Ginn has a current card, that just leaves you and GG.

Lee,
You only need an FFI card if you plan a formation flight in waivered airspace, otherwise all you need is a prior briefing (and hopefully experience) per the FAA regs.

PS: Several years ago several F16 bros and I petitioned the local FSDO and presented our own formation syllabus and qualified ourselves based on "taxpayer funded training in high performance fighter aircraft". We named our organization "Formation University" and issued everyone cards with the organizations initials in big red letters on the back. It's always fun to show the card to folks who "ask for it"

Thanks Smokey, I was being vauge. I was referring to something we are trying to put together that does require formation cards. I probably should have sent that to the primaries as a private message.

"RV Grin" ...my Ass!!

Damn good looking spinner,

Fraser and I formated (speeeling?) up to Heber, Utah today and both made about three local flights taking up the family of a guy he's friends with. GORGEOUS day for flying. Then back to U42 for a nice sharp formation pattern entry, overhead and break.

Formation card? Don't need no steenkin' .... !

All right enough already, I'm gittin realy sick of the good flying stories that keep popin up lately, haven't been able to commit aviation since Nov 10, lousy weather. Today was just miserable, cold, wet, rain, heavy at times, fog, did I mention rain? an absolute downer of a day. Forecast for tomorrow is lookin' up, partly cloudy in the afternoon and Sunday afternoon is showing clear, maybe those of us in the Northwest can convert some dead dinos to noise this weekend. :D

My Grand Parents lived for a while in Tokeland, WA . I was but a small lad at the time ( 6 years old ?) They had a small house close to the Ocean and my Brother and I attended a 2 room school house . 2 room what ? We worked our butts off cutting fire wood and kindling to keep that house warm in the wet and cold Winters ! The first time we were there there was NO indoor comode ! The second time we had indoor facilities , but heat was still from a Ben Franklin fireplace ! Electrice blankets ? Forget it . My Grand Mother wrapped a warm brick in a towel and placed it at the bottom of out feet in the bed. I still remember those Winter storms with the wind and rain blowing like a son-of-a-gun off the Ocean ! :o

I feel your pain Bruce ! I was born in Seattle , but SOCAL is Muey Bueno for flying ! O0
