Guys, I have been following Lee's videos and the comments and was wondering since the maneuvering speed is about 160mph, when do you guys back off from your 200 mph cruise speeds. Is it based on "G meter" readings or just feel? Curious and envious, Jim Mantyla |

I'm assuming your asking in reference to rough air and or a Vno, if not and I'm on the wrong track please let me know. In rough air I pull the power back to maintain 160-170. That's not really a Va thing though, it's just a tad bit uncomfortable getting knocked around at 200. |

I would use anticipated (PIREPS) or actual intermittent moderate turbulence to pull the power back to Va. Your definition of Light, Moderate or Severe Turb. will vary slightly from mine. Ask the passenger sitting next to you on your next flight to LAX. [:0] RB |

These speeds sound like "Swift" Speeds---LOL---However, my little Swift only chugs along about 145MPH David Turner---Swifty only in name.... |
