The NAPA 105 is what I have been using.

Can I use the spray can dry graphite and the lubriplate they sell at autozone on my plane, or is there something special about the lubriplate and dry graphite the Aircraft Spruce sells? |

Ryan, Lubriplate is a brand name/manufacture and there are quite a few different types of "Lubriplate". I found 105 at NAPA but it is for engine assembly propably not what we want. I would also like to know which "lubriplate" should be used as called out on the Thorp drawings. Note: searching the Autozone web site for "lubriplate" yields no hits. |

Grainger has the graphite in a spray can . Not sure what I paid for it $8.00 ? I believe the plans Lubriplate is in the Silver and Black can that has been around as long as I can remember . I use it . The small can will last you a lifetime ! It comes in two grades . High temp and "regular" . 130-AA and 630-AA . You can use any Aviation grade grease . During my annual I spray PB Blaster onto my pivot points . It displaces water and provides a film on the metal surfaces .  RB  Grease Man |

I am not too keen on the dry graphite with aluminum. Look what pencil lead (graphite) does to aluminum - I have seen it used too many times on outboards & the ensuing corrosion - |

I use white lithum grease sold by GC Electronics and is available from the large electronic houses |
