I know this subject has been covered, no pun intended , but I have never been able to go back wherever the archives reside, so, after 20 years at the same privet field 46NJ, we got the word today that the farm has been sold to the state and we got our experidation date, Jan. 31. My thorp will have to reside outdoors, not something I want to think about, it was a great place to hang out at. I have to purchase a cover, one that will also cover the gas lid, there was a discussion a while back as to the better ones,I know someone said that someone makes one that will cover the gas lid but can't remember, if anyone out there knows the name and or contact # I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks Lance

Bruce's Custom Covers, measure from the base of the windshield to how far past the gas cap you want it and ask if they will make it that long, that's what I did.

Thanks Bruce what do you think of your cover and do they use a soft interior or do you use a cover underneath.

Yep, Bruce's uses a liner on thier covers I got one, they are not lightweight covers and they are very rugged. The liner is soft and will not scratch, the thing would make a heck of a sleeping bag if you need to use it for that. Talk to Bruce's and tell em what you want, you won't be disappointed ....Dan

I got my cover from Aero Covers. It covers the fuel cap and also the rear openings of the engine cowling. They also have a detail on the top to cover the canopy handle. Ask for John at 1-800461-4589.

Jim, nice looking plane doesn't look like you have standard cowling really slick, does the inside of the cover have a soft inner lining, and how about a pix of the ship together.

I think my cowl is known as a Ratray cowl. It is different than the traditional one. It has two doors that swing open much like a Stinson cowl.
