I just purchased a Thorp T-18 today out of another state. Trying to decide whether to fly or drive the plane back. In order to fly I would need some air time in a similar aircraft. Are there anyone on the forum that has a T-18 that lives near San Antonio?

Thank you,

you're going to enjoy your new bird. Got any pictures of the new toy? Sorry I cant help with your question, but I did have Tony Partain ship my Thorp across the country a couple of times. He did it for cheaper than I could have done it myself. I was happy with their service.

I'm chiming in. I gave Alex a call. My plane is down for maintenance right now, but we will get something worked out.

I spoke to both Terry and Bernie. Thank you guys for reaching out to me. I received N99SK today and she is in my hangar. Strong engine and new paint job however she needs some work. I am going up to Dallas on the weekend of the 7th to take training with Alex of www.RVTraining.com. He has an RV-7 he does flight training in and has trained multiple people in his RV to prepare them for their Thorp or Mustang II.

Already building a list of things to be done to the aircraft. First purchases are going to be AN wing attach bolts, new 500x5 tires, and wheel pants. I am waiting for the seller to get me the plans from the aircraft. In the meantime if anyone could tell me what size AN bolts, washers, and locking nuts I need it would be a big help.
