Just thought I would post a picture of my Thorp and the GPS. I had a push but still excellent numbers on this trip.

This should be a fun thread. Here is my submission. I just happened to snap this pic last week. Admittedly, I had a push too.....

I'm curious about that wing, is there any dihedral?
Is it basically the same T or S-18 wing but one piece?
Just curious to se how that was done.

Thanks,
MG

There is dihedral.
The airplane came with a large case of engineering drawings for the changes.
It's powered by a 160hp 0-320 and CS Hartzell. 44 gallons of fuel in the wings, no header tank.
I added an auto pilot with altitude hold.

Was that airplane the one set up for a right side pilot?
Can you compare it to a standard T-18?
I looks really nice, would love to hear more about it.

Yes, there are changes that would be interesting knowing how they were done.
It looks like the leading edge is the T-18 profile, is the wing span increased from standard?
About whats the stall speed.
Sorry to bomb you with questions.

Well, I guess it's settled then... the "bent" wing is the fastest! I knew it! :o

N7199 has a ram air setup, electric aileron trim and wingtip filler necks for the fuel tanks.
We also had a fuel totalizer and better cabin heat installed. Empty weight is 1063.
