Post subject:  propeller and spinner

I am new to the Thorp and would like some guidance for a propeller and spinner for an o320 160 hp. The one that is on the plane now will over speed the engine at full power. I am considering a ground adjustable but sure could use some ideas.

I have an Aymar Demuth 68/76 on mine. Same motor. I wish they were still in business. I’ve also tried the Sensenich ground adjustable. It works, depending on your mission. Should you desire to go that way, or Hartzell, let me get it for you as I am a dealer and can get you a discount.

I had a wooden prop made by Performance Propellers. Its was great and the price was great as well. I now have a metal Sensenich prop that they use on the RV model aircraft. You can buy a spinner from Cubes.

What is your static RPM? Mine will also overspeed the engine at full power but only turns 2000 static. The plane is so slick that the prop really releases. Mine is perfect just the way it is.
