I'd like to announce that my wife and I are in the process of buying the assets of Classic Sport Aircraft. Mike and Frankie have done an excellent job supporting this awesome plane for the past 17 years. They have produced the first complete kit, the tri-gear conversion, and many innovative yet subtle changes that kept this plane viable for years.
The timing of this announcement is to assure those buying kits recently, and those sitting on the fence, that we will support this great kit for many years to come. There will be a few months of transition as we set things up, and Mike and Frankie have agreed to Lead us through the transition. Following that, you can plan on seeing some new marketing strategies that will, hopefully, produce more interest. Rest assured, I have a passion for the Thorp that is driving me/us this direction. The recent articles in SA, the Experimenter, and GA News show that I am not alone in that passion.
With everyone's support, we will grow this community. Stand by for announcements about these changes.

Jim: Outstanding News ! Let me add that over the years Mike and Frankie have given me great support to complete my S-18 . In fact when they had to drive to San Diego they loaded ALL the fiberglass parts in their car I needed to save me the freight ! I wish them well in their well earned retirement !

I know you will improve on CSA and make it a world class outfit with your attention to detail , smiling kisser and great people skills ! ::) Time for a "Tito ?" ;)

Way to go Cubes, you will be the "lighter" that starts the Thorp fire. With your effort the Thorp community should grow in numbers and spirit. You have my support in this great adventure.

Press on,

First off Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Thorp family! As a group we have a lot to be thankful for, this has been a great year for our passion/hobby! This news from Cubes is icing on the on the cake, Mike and Frankie have held the S-18 torch longer than anyone else whose owned that business and I think we all owe them a huge debt of gratitude. I am currently building the "new" website and online store for the new business and will let all of you know where it is when I am done. This is a new beginning for the Thorp and we should all be thankful that one of our own has now taken the reigns! Cubes will undoubtedly need help from all of us to support the new venture and I hope those of us that are able and willing will offer to help him moving forward. Were all in this together guys! We're a small group but close as family ... Let's make this work!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm thankful for many things but near the top is this airplane, the people I know because of it and the joy of building/flying the greatest sport plane know to man!!
