The monkeys in Seattle never have to worry about the cold. They just have to need to keep their web feet flexing and their fog seeing ability. You know it never rains or we never have fog (ya tell us about it).

Enjoy the 45 or so temp.

The truck said -9 on the way home here in southeastern Illinois. Been a busy few days in the heating and refrigeration business. I do know that some here have been taking advantage and making some nice progress on their projects, just not me.

It's so cold where I am, there are lawyers walking around with their hands in their own pockets.

Why just last night I saw a hen running around with a capon.

-40 here with the wind chill. Running out of space to put snow. The screen on the Weather Channel is constantly red. The highway is closed again, second day in a row. In fact, all roads to work are closed today so they told us to stay home. If I start heating the garage this morning, it ought to be comfortable enough by the end of a full day of work.

Destin Florida this Am….21 degrees. It's not supposed to be this cold here - ever. I don't think Hell froze over yet, but the flames are flickering…

On the bright side - It's forecast to be in the mid 60's by the weekend. Sorry David Read - Winter isn't over in Illinois yet!

Here in LAL the nuts were freezing off bridges (36), but one thing for sure we don't have to shovel sunshine

I remember back in 1977 at NAS Meridian as a jet student we had one of the worst ice/snow storms they could remember . Back then it was not Global Warming , it was the Nuclear Winter they were concerned about ? 8) Not sure what happened with that movement ? :P There was such a big push to get students thru the program that they had instructor pilots taxing T-2 Buckeyes up and down the taxiways and the runways to try and melt the ice so the students could get their flights out . The CO got an A for effort , but a C for poor head work as one AC slid off the taxiway ! :o We had the next several days off at home until the crisis passed . Then it was double up on the hops to make up for lost time . ??? That was a pisser ! >:(

I landed in Deadhorse Alaska on Friday and it was -32 with 22kts of wind. Having the right protective gear is essential when operating in extreme cold. You also have to pay attention to cold weather altitude adjustments. :)

Santa Ana winds blowing . Temp today 76 degrees . Rare to see these temps in Winter , but not unusual . 5 years ago the snow was blowing sideways as I looked out the hangar/shop window with the heater on ! ??? That snow was also rare for this part of SOCAL . :o

I like flying skis plane in the winter. I have no problem to land on frozen lake...
First time for me to roll with a small truck on a ice road. I have to do a pre-buy inspection for a client on the East of the Quebec so I take a short-cut between Oka to Hudson.
