I have to installed six brand news Continental cylinders for a client.

The inside is just WOW...... I imagine if the cylinder was port and polish.....another big WOW and re-WOW!!

But see my stupefaction when I see the top of the piston :( ??? :-\ :-[ :'(

I would suggest that ypu inspect the piston very closely! I have a Polish coffee mug and the handle is on the inside! Who knows what they would have done with a piston.

It does say FAA-PMA in fine print . I believe they do make excellent sausage ! ??? BOOM !

Everything in Europe is Metric, so this piston is metric and the cylinder barrel dimension is in SAE....
I order right now a oversize piston ring set from North Korea ;)

Remember the multi billion dollar Mars mission than failed because one group was using Metric and the other used the English system on the same space craft and it ended up as a smoking hole on the Red Planet ! $$$ BOOM ! :o Parts from the same source may have a better survival rate ? I know a friend of mine that bought an I-0540 from an Eastern block country that was zero time and was "pickled" . By the time he got it up and running he probably spent 30% more (probably closer to 50%) after the low oil pressure problems (tear down) . Not sure what he paid for shipping ? ??? BTW he is an Airline pilot trying to save a buck ! :D
