This little strobe unit from Whelen is even better than I thought for it's size. [:D] The flash is so bright (even in the daytime) you can not look directly at it. [8D] Weighs almost nothing and fits into a 1" dia hole. Protudes 7/8" below the lower skin, so Mr. Drag slips right over it. It has 6ft. of lead and you only need to hook up 2 of the 4 wires. +/-. The third wire is used to set your strobe pattern of which there are about 12 ? 4th wire is to sync up other strobes. So once the pattern is selected ( I picked the double flash ), you can just cut and secure those wires (3 & 4) out of the way. The actual driver is only about 4" long, fits anywhere. USA made and has a 5 year warranty. $70.00 + shipping at various sites and comes in other colors. Whelen VERTEX Hide-A-Way Super LED Strobe...VTX609. Previous post has the PDF with all the tech info on the unit.

I believe anyone that sells Whelen products has to be an "authorized dealer." I got mine form RadiosNLights.com. Not sure if they ship International ? E-Bay sells them ($30.00 more than my source) and Northertool.com has then for $99.00 and they do ship International, but the cost to ship this 1.0 pound item (If it weighs that much) may put you close to the $200 (shipping, customs, tax). I would try Whelen again to see if they have a dealer in your area. The E-Bay site will direct you to an authorized dealer that posts the strobe on E-Bay. No real deal there, but might be a source?

Try Whelen.com Go to automotive home page. Click on "Where to Buy", then to International Distributors. Contact for Australia is in England ?

Rich and All
I sent an email to all that Rich mentioned above, then yesterday(Sunday our time) I got a reply from Northern Tools with a price of $99US and a $45US shipping Fee by UPS Air to Australia with 4-7 working day delivery. I don't think I'll do better than that. The Aussie $ is about parady with the US $ at present.
I would thank Northern Tools for their swift and so far efficient service, I don't know if I'm jumping the gun, I haven't got it in my hot little hand yet. But good on 'em so far

Good to hear it will work out OK. $139.00...that's only $40.00 more than buying E-Bay here. I hear the lite works great to attract Roos ? [:p]

My Thorp is called "Skippy". This photo was my front yard. We have a mob of about 40 that roams around the place, they sleep up the side then move down to the Park at the end of the Street during the Day.

Good onya
