Also have a set of Klebler tips that are brand new from Classic sport. I think they are for the S-18 wing because the profile is not the same as mine.

Jerry: I have a set of Metal T-18 standard tips. If you are interested I can take pics and post them. I believe they are plans made. No dents. Will require a little work to smooth the welds. I did not make them. The welds appear to be done professionally.

If anyone wants to buy a set of standard S-18 tips, I have them also. CSA made set. One tip has been cut ( and repaired ) I intended to install the Vans Nav lens, but it was way toooo big, so I put the cut back in. No attach holes drilled. Will still require finish sanding prior to primer and paint. Paid $180.00 for the pair, asking $100 and I'll pay the shipping. If you don't like them return them (you pay the return shipping) and I'll refund. [;)]

I was going to give Jerry first crack at the metal tips (he was looking for standard tips) as his name floated to the top first. If he wants them I was going to try and do a swap for the Kelbler tips...are you listening Jerry ? I will post a pic of the metal tips tomorrow AM. If he does not want them, then you are next in the barrel. Just looking at the English wheel work on the curved portion of the tips is WAY out of my league !

OK. Scott, I'll post the pics in the AM. It may be possible to "reshape" the "K" tips with a heat gun ? Thunk I read it on a post a while back ? Waaaay back.

I have not heard of Klebler tips. What is different about them?

Scott: Here are the metal tips. Standard T-18. NO dents. No holes drilled. Got a pic as close to the welds as I could. No distortion in the metal, which is amazing. Mating edge needs to be trimmed/squared. Weld needs buffing/polishing/smoothing. Put the wing tip on the full scale plan and the profile is very good. Asking $125.00 for the pair + shipping. If you don't like them, ship them back (same condition) and I'll refund. Please advise.

Different profile than the standard tips. Research the NL's and past messages for more info. Someone did a very good write up on them ? I like the look and the claim to give more lift. [;)]

Jerry,
Aircraft Spruce has original T-18 wing tips listed in their catalog http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/mt1.php, or if you want Klebler tips, there is a good write up by John Evens on how to make a pair in the File Library under Miscellaneous, look for file "wing_tips.doc"

Thanks, I did see those on A/S thats the direction im leaning at this point, I might get a glass guy to modify these or just sell them. Mike told me they would fit with minimal modification, but the two guys i talked to said it would be considerable if you dont want a hack job.

Rich,

Sounds like a deal. Can you send me your mailing address so I can send you a check. Jerry, I have an untouched set of standard fiberglass tips from Spruce. If these metal ones work out, these are certainly available. I'll look and see what I gave for them and will try and post a picture of them tomorrow if you are interested.

Scott: Here is my address. Don't send the check yet until I figure out the shipping. My wife has a company account with UPS and gets a really good deal on the rates...not quite free, but pretty close. [:p] I need your address to figure out the shipping rate. I also need to "construct" a suitable shipping container for the tips and that will take me a few days. These beauties have not one dent in them and I would like to keep them that way ! [8D] You can also use the container to return the tips if they are not to your liking.
