Has anyone used the 3M Polyurethane 8561/8562 Prop Tape on their AD prop or any wood prop ?

I've used 3M #8672 on my AD prop since it was new... Probably close to 20 years. The stuff I use is .008" thick & 1" wide. One of the differences between 8561 & 8672 is that the 8672 is UV resistant. I love it, & it's helped keep my prop in very good condition for around 1000 hours. I had to look it up, & I've changed it twice in that period of time - when it gets enough gouges & nicks from FOD that I can't stand it anymore. I know it's saved a lot of damage to the leading edges.

Yes, all the way to the tip. Started inboard just before the inlaid "composite stainless steel" (insert laugh track here). A very slight amount of stretching while applying makes it fit the slightly curved leading edge nicely. Back off of any stretching the last few inches. Mine has never shown any tendency to slowly shrink back from the edge of the tip. Works good. Gentle heat gun or hair drier use has been effective for removal without removing any of the finish.

$74 for one roll of the same on Aircraft Spruce.
Maybe a deal like the Trusty Tail spring?
Somebody buy a case after getting pledges, and save big $.

Doug, you are correct. The Amazon ad is somewhat misleading, but when I opened the link to the uline site the sad truth was revealed. $90/roll.

$90 per roll sounds pretty outrageous, but it may be available cheaper somewhere else. I bought a roll years ago from a local supplier who had an open case & would sell a single roll. I don't remember how much it was.
The $22 for 12 yards from Spruce isn't actually too bad if you consider that 12 yards is enough to do a prop at least 6 times. That works out to $3.67 for each 2-blade application - cheap compared to the value of your propeller.

How many blades can we get out of a roll? Might still be possible to do what Scott suggests.

Well... since a roll is evidently 36 yards, you could do approximately 18 props at $90/roll. That's figuring 36" per blade, and I used less than that on mine. The Aircraft Spruce deal ($21.85 / 12 yds.) is obviously a better deal. $90 is a rip-off.

You could buy 3 from Spruce for $65.55, or 1 - 36 yd. roll for $76.75. Huh?! I believe I know which way I'd go there.

Not sure about shipping on any of these, but it can't be too much. Aircraft Spruce offers Priority Mail, which works great for me. You might be able to find it even cheaper with a little web shopping.

According to the 3M web site this tape has a shelf life of 2 years from date of manufacture .
