There was a golden orb in the eastern sky this morning, half the city of Seattle ran down to the beach and cut a calf. We decided to leave town before the blood letting reached us. We departed S36 about 9, we are over nighting in Ely (e-lee) Nevada, flight planner says 2 hours and change. Depending on how soon we awake we should be to KSEZ some time around noon, but it could be later, much later, we're retired. Also, there is a really neat railroad museum in town, it might take a while.

After picking up Lori we went on the local brewery tour. Here next to Arizona state university is four peaks brewery. I looked to see if there was a brewery In Sedona- there is...oak creek brewery. And Sunday is an anniversary for them. May have to stop in.
See you tomorrow

Two more Thorp's arrived this am to make a total of 9 in attendance. Thanks to rich brazelle for the thankless job of organizing this event. Mega thanks to the Ginns for out of this world hospitality- and a Pineapple Express. I'll leave the rest of the debrief to Rich.
Thanks to Cubes my wife got to experience the Grand Canyon from a T18.

Now, it's off to Sun N Fun on Wednesday.

Lori was able to ride with Cubes and get a tour of the Grand Canyon. He asked her whether she had been in such a small airplane before. She laughed and said "oh yes". Here she is going for a ride with me on her 19th Birthday....
