Just wondering what the plans may be for Airventure 2015?

EAA moved up the schedule one week from the past traditional time. This year it is July 20-26th.

I live on an airpark just NW Madison, WI (MSN) The airpark is K6P3 and has Rwy 9/27= 2,223'x30' and it is not completely level. People also use the grass along the south side of the Rwy.

I have never flown in a Thorp and was wondering if there is any chance to bum a ride before, during or after Airventure?

I am actually planning to bring our camper trailer up to camp Scholler on the July 4th weekend. And we are planning to stay at EAA from July 18th through July27th.

I would be happy to host anyone prior or post Airventure. I have an open hangar available for use.

I will be announcing the Thorp Events at Airventure Oshkosh 2015 soon. There will be a forum (time location TBA, most likely Wed, and a dinner time location TBA most likely Friday).

Myself and David Read fly out for breakfast regularly (wx permitting) I'm sure we can arrange something!

Hi TomD,

Wish you would have said something a month ago, I was in Portage for gas on my way to Oshkosh, June 16th. My weekends are full until after the 4th so your best bet may be Lee or David at Airventure.

Are you based out of Des Moines?

If it doesn't work out at OSH then maybe I can drive over from Madison some time or meet part way?

Beautiful evening tonight and I'm watching my neighbors fly from back yard and it's killing me not having an airplane. But that is what fuels motivation!!!!

Yes, I am in Des Moines, Thorp is at KIKV. July 11th is the first I would have an opportunity, but that is a little far out for me to commit too. Yes we could meet somewhere in-between. I know I am an hour flight from Boscobel so could meet there. Is that about an hour drive for you?
