My rear position light has been in need of a little update, I found at
superbrightlede.com some interesting items. I received today a led bulb,
115X-X3Xw a 4 watt LED with an 1156 base and an LSC-100B pulsing module, it pulses the LED
6 times a second in two 3 burst patterns. It`s very bright, looks to be about 100 lumens with a 9 volt source. The pulse unit is small and is under 1 OZ. Price to my door was $30.25, for both. Further info. after the install, a cheap upgrade.

Installed the LED and the pulsing unit today, easy, fast, and very effective. specs says 160 lumens, very bright, beats the price of a rear strobe by far.

The price is right ! Now if it was called an Aviation led lite, the price would be 3x's. [}:)]

I bought one of these also....sweet fit right in and is bright. The strobe unit was able to attach right inside the rudder with no problems. Now see what I can find for the tips

I thought of that also, all you would need is two sockets with a mount
and you have a good serviceable strobe at a rock bottom price. You could double up on the LEDS and still be under the weight and way under price of a typical strobe unit.

Look at UNDERBODY LIGHTS, they sell a strobe kit for 90 bucks.
