Spring T-18 Gathering will be hosted by Scott Hinton at Elizabeth City, NC.

Scott got about 1/4 way through his sales pitch on the location before I was sold. This one is going to be great!

I've spoken the the innkeeper at the Culpepper Inn (www.culpepperinn.com). Right now all 11 rooms are available. This is one of the best B&B's in town. If the reservations are made early enough, the Thorp group can have the whole house. Breakfast is great! For those not interesting in a B&B, I'll post hotel info shortly.

The Cullpepper Inn has blocked all 11 room for Thorp group members. Please don't try to reserve rooms online, you'll be told the they have no rooms available. You must call the inn at (252)335-9235 to reserve a room. (Thanks for heads up Les!)

As of today, 5 of the 10 rooms at the Cullpepper Inn have been booked. The innkeeper will hold the remaining 5 rooms until March 31st, then she will open them up to non Thorp group folks. It would be great if we could fill the place. If you are planning to attend, please book your rooms by the 31st.

Scott,

Is there another place to stay that is not a B&B? I would like to come but I can't commit at this time due to possible family obligations and work travel. I also hope that Dick Wolfe is able to get his butt in gear so that we can fly down together.( just kidding Dick)

I bought the charts and other than the border crossing procedures that seem to be changing faster than they can be communicated, and a few hills, everything looks like it will be a nice flight.

I'm working towards that end, Jim.

Flap actuator mounting brackets are done. Just have to mount them.

For those not wishing to stay at the Culpepper Inn, I would suggest the Fairfield Inn,(252)333-1003, www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/orfec-fa ... beth-city/ Not quite the character of the B&B, but a nice, comfortable place to stay. Discounted rate is $89. Please tell them you're with the the Thorp group.

Woohoo! Don't fret if you haven't made your reservation yet...you can still get a great deal at the Fairfield Inn. See my earlier post for details...
