Hi All
Just letting you all know that my Thorp is finally flying in Australia after 48 years.
It's a long story obviously, but I got it about 60% complete and finished it off over the last 30 months.
it seems to be performing well at this stage with temps and pressures good, prop is holding it back a bit
but a new one is coming.
When I can get all my pics sorted I will try to upload more pics.
Cheers Ken

Hi Tony I'm I Brisbane.
I picked up this project from a bloke up in Brisbane, he'd bought it from the original builder who'd started it in 1972.he worked on it for 17 years until he had a terrible road accident after 7 months in hospital he was unable to continue so it sat in his workshop for 20 years, in zinc chromate. He actually got told to take it to the tip would you believe cause "no one wants those anymore!" anyhow I bought it in December 2017 about 60% complete and finished it .
fly's well couple of squawks to sort out, mainly the prop but Gary Williams from NZ is making me a new one as we speak.
cheers
Ken
