Finally, after many years as a hangar Queen, N127WM is flying again, and sadly is up for sale.
N127WM was built by Bill Moor in Washington and features an O360 engine and the wide body mods. Bill was a WWII B17 pilot and a career engineer at Boeing. He built a nice airplane. I purchased it in 2005 after his passing and used it to travel back and forth between Tucson and Durango, Mexico. I tried to use it as a utility airplane and ended up ground looping it. I brought it back to Tucson on a trailer in 2007. I started the rebuild and decided to install the tri-gear conversion kit from Mike Archer. I had the new gear box and main wheels installed in a couple of months, but then got side tracked with other life projects. This year I finally finished the repairs and conversion.
The airplane has been flown 3 times by my friend and pronounced as a great flying airplane. I no longer feel competent to fly it, so it is up for sale. Total airframe time is 170 hours and engine SMOH is 510 hours. Write or call if you have an interest.
