Getting ready to attach the wheel pants and looking for a template or pattern having the four axle bolt holes and brake cutout. Anyone have such? Thanks

I checked Cubes web site and he lists a wheel pant bracket as part # 990-3 . Not sure what it looks like ? It's been almost 12 years since I built up my wheel pants and I don't remember a P/N 990-3 ? I believe I made mine from trial and error or it may have been from an article in one of the OLD NEWS LETTERS ? If anyone knows how to search the old NL's it may be in there ? Happy hunting !

I do sell them. If you would rather try to make your own, I’ll take a picture of it for you.

Well, like everything in this world, they have gone up to $21.95. They are laser cut with axle mount holes drilled.

That's still a bargain - was a pain to even modify the ones on TH

I do remember it took me hours of cut and fit for the bracket , PLUS all the time to cut and fit the wheel pant ! Well worth the money to have one laser cut and drilled ! After I had one honed to my personal specs I used it as a pattern for the other wheel . OH MY !

I’ll second that. It will probably take a lot of trial and error to get brackets and wheel pants to fit. You can buy a pair of brackets to get you started, but don’t be surprised if it takes some time to get it right. This is one of those place they all seem to be custom fit. Go into it with a little patience.

Well, I guess I should have thought of Cubes having that part before I started but I think I;m pretty close to the final plate. I'm even doing what Lee stated about welding a nutplate bracket on the axle nut to secure the outboard part of the wheel pant. Cubes, and others, What thickness of the inner plate do you sell or recommend? Thanks

I finally found my drawing of the bracket on my airplane, actually it is a tracing of the bracket, scale is full size.
