Looking good Fred ! It is a long road to the finish line, but keep "on trucking" and the "brass ring" is in sight !

Bill: Nice line: " Looks great, at least you can sit in it and make airplane noises" I was thinking exactly the same. You have the sticks and trim wheel,...

Fred: Fuselage is well on it's way, wings starting to take shape, coming along nicely.

Cheers.

Well, it has been a long time since I posted anything in regards to the progress of my project. Here goes.
My project officially started on 1-2-2008, when I purchased a few parts from Richard Snelson, residing in Indiana. After hauling them home, the fun began.
I should say that the thought of wanting a T18 actually began on June 9, 1972. At this time in my aviation career I was wearing several fixed base operation (FBO) hats at Eagle Aviation located at Bishop Airport, Flint, MI; when Howard Warren, a fireman from Flint, MI came into our facility and said that he had just completed building a Thorp T18 and asked if I would be interested in flight testing it for him as he wasn't sure he was ready for it yet. Smart plan. For those that may have known Howard, the Thorp that he built was N5564, SN532. Although I had never seen a Thorp T18, I agreed and the love affair with the Thorp began. It was truly a sweet little airplane to fly.
Anyways, I would like to announce that my Thorp, N79FB, SN 3055 was certified on July 8, 2024 at Valkaria airport, FL (X59). I only have 2 flights on it so far however I am expecting a lot of fun in it after I get a few bugs worked out.
I've tried to download photo's but not having any success. I'll keep trying.

Way to go, Fred! Hope to see it around Florida once you get the bugs worked out.
