A few pics for you guys ... I'll write up a full report tomorrow, looks like I picked up something while I was up there, feeling pretty bad right now. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be back in business, I DO have a newsletter write after all! [;)]

Not pictured is Bill Beswick's, Dave Magaw's airplane(s) and another elusive Thorp that was parked in the homebuilt camping area early in the week. All in all we had 16 Thorps this year. Not counting the Rutan designs we easily had all other custombuilts outnumbered!

N589LW in the homebuilt review, aircraft were ordered by speed. Behind the rocket and in front of the RV's ... just right!

The last few pics...nothing more dangerous than a retired Air Force pilot with his wallet open (no money) and some guy from Utah with a Homer smile like he just got a date with the prom Queen ! [:p]

RB

Great job on the pics Lee !

Made it home to Denver in N71JE on Saturday... 5.7 hrs. going (avg. 6.9 gal/hr), & 5.9 coming back (avg 7.1 gal/hr). That's without wheel pants - still respectable. Made 2 stops in route both ways. Good times, except for a leaky new tent - my first time camping at OSH since 1977 - trying to get in shape for back-country airstrip flying in my Kitfox.

Congratulations to Bob Highley for an award well-deserved! What a beautiful airplane it is!

Got home last night after visiting folks in Chicago. My GPS shows a trips total of 2973nm in 21.54 hours for an average ground speed of 136kts. not bad for 7.4 gallons per hour. Still computing total cost. Not sure I want to know.
