I would not leave that cowl black for long. I have a cowl in my yard painted black, it has the rigidity of abs now. Fiberglass resin does not like heat/uv.

Richard, really like your trailer and pics! Great example of KISS. Can the wheel pants stay on? Big hassle to remove mine. Also, can it be made "street legal" if it were registered and a license added? (I know if a car is attached with its back wheels on the ground the trailer doesn't need be licensed.) Best regards,
