As I seem to have started asking about this CA fly-in, I better plan to come. I can't do the overnight, but will come up from L.A. on Sat AM. This will probably be my last gathering as I'm planning to sell my T-18.

Hey ole buddy...speaking about keeping us out of trouble, exactly where are we parking on the aerodrome ? Next to the out house ? By the skeeter pond ? KFC Drive-Thru ? [;)] John and I plan to arrive early on the 9th...like around 10ish. I need to continue on the KSTS to see a relative, then RTB to VIS about 1600 ?

Sure wish I could be there Dan... we are having a memorial for my friend Dean Cochran that Saturday. I hope you guys have a great time!

I had a good trip in my T-18 to south-western Idaho this weekend - got to fly into some back-country strips in a Kitfox. Great fun!

Hey Rich, I will be at the airport before sunrise and will get you guys parked, not to worry. For those that come in on Fri we were going to try to shuttle everyone down town to Tahoe Joes Steakhouse Fri evening so you can get you some grub. Was going to run this past everyone who gets here on fri. We do have parking relatively close to the Gatos Lair so we should be fine. Im looking forward to seeing everyone, its been awhile.......Dan

Wx here in L.A. is q marine layer fm 12-2000' thick. It will dissipate in the next couple of hrs, but FSS says that I then have to dodge CBs from Palmdale to Visalia, that they might also hit VIS, and that they aren't going away until at least 2000. I've been through a CB with the T18 and it handles it good, but I don't think that I want to run the gauntlet this time. (It was no big thing when Uncle Sam owned the airplane.)

WE had good times at the Kvis Gathering!!! Good crowd, good food and good company. Thankyou to all that attended, and thankyou to all who used their better judgment and stayed on the ground when the weather just did not co-operate, we want you around to attend next year. On behalf of Dan&Gloria,Ira&Missy and Dean&Melonie, you all made our weekend by taking part in our very first KVIS Gatering and we just cant thank you enough. We are going to try to make this Gathering an annual event, so those who could not make this year can try for the next. For those who traveled home on Sunday, sing out, so that we know that all are well and safe at home. Looking forward to next year, we will do it again..God Bless on this 9-11 Dan

Down and safe after dodging a few T-storms between North Las Vegas and Salt Lake after dropping off Cubes - another great Pride of Tigers gathering.

Things I learned at KVIS
Howard Ginn can out drink me.
Tony Ginn can out drink Howard Ginn
I talk a lot when lickered up around Elaine Ginn
When Joshua says R2505 is hot, I need not ask him if it is not.
My plane trims right when occupied by Cubes. I think he is a republican.
Cubes is wider than the right seat of my plane.
When Cubes and I eat Gloria Eggleston's(to die for) beans,..... fight's on!!!
Winglets are possible.

Rich Brazell's and newly painted Johnathan Levi's planes both looked spectacular. Combined with the others, the RV crowd on field had little to say and a lot to admire, and from a fellowship standpoint, envy. Dan's El Gato was a thing of beauty as well and the Ginn's aircraft are always eye catching.

Great friends, a great turnout and great flying.

Thanks so much Dan and Gloria, Ira et al for another memorable weekend.

TIGER PRIDE!!!
