Just bring ropes, the ramp has rings. Most of the ropes are "ok" but better to be safe.

Des Moines is suppose to have 40mph winds tomorrow so I am planning on leaveing early. Looks like a pretty stiff headwind for the first half of the trip. I should get in just after Noon.

Two of the Three Amigoes from Florida are safely back in the nest at Lakeland Linder Airport. That would be N711SH and N30WW. Les and margie are safely down in Eufala, AL for the night. Some really nasty WX out there.

Thanks and kudus to Teresa and Ben Scola for their great hosting job. I want to particularly thank all who worked with and around me to try to solve my alternator issue. While I'm not surprised at the way this group comes together to help each other, I never get used to the wide diversity if talents each of the members brings to the group. No, I did not get the alternator working, but I did learn that a good batery will get you a long way if you are judicious with the use of power.

Walton made it back as far as Lufkin, TX. I tucked the Thorp away and hitched a ride with the Mrs. from there. In retrospect I could have squeaked in but I didn't feel like pouring rain IMC today and something tells me 589LW appreciates not being beaten up too. Wendell had a similar experience getting into Ft Worth but managed to wait it out long enough to let it clear and bring 51863 home.

I second Bob's "thanks and kudos", Ben and Teresa are second to none! Another fantastic weekend, and, as always great company made it so!

Made it home to Bull Swamp, SC but the ride wasn't much fun. It was very rough and I throttled back to 2000 rpm just to keep from getting beat up to bad. Sure was good to get on the ground. What a great bunch the T-18 group is!!!
