[def] Slacker : One who goes to Oshkosh and occupies his time eating brats, hunting for bargain aircraft parts and scrutinizing others aircraft rather than attending educational events, such as forums.

Another Thorp was seen in homebuilt camping, 110AT also known as "wild oats" owned by Jeff Rose from Sacramento, CA, no photo as I miss placed my camera.

At one of the forums, Jim Borg from Minneapolis, MN saw my name tag and introduce himself as a Thorp owner, has had his airplane for 25 years.

As far as forums go - I haven't really had time to decipher my notes, my head still hurts from information overload.

From the Prop Design 101, 102 & 103 forums, all we need to know was published by NACA in the late 40's and again in 70. The simplified version, wide tips bad, narrow tips good (less drag).

From the "Engine Cooling" forum, the lowest pressure area on the cowl is along the sides, from the photos of various installations was Bob H. or Bill W. (couldn't see the N number) and the comment the Thorps got it right for the exit location.

The most fun was the Gas Welding workshop, got to try welding some 4130 sheet steel.

The "Fly Fast - Fly Cheap" forum was informative as well as entertaining, it was presented by the CEO of Lopresti.
