Mine came with "mounting hardware." Nothing you couldn't make yourself. The roll servo I just mounted to the foward bulkhead under the co-pilots seat. Installed a doubler plate, cut a small hole to accept the servo arm and mounted the servo directly to the bulkhead using long attach screws that screw right into the servo. That was the easy one to do. Almost exactly like Bill did. The pitch servo came with a "U-type" mounting bracket which I did use to attach it the aft bulkhead under the co-pilots seat. Again using a doubler. They also supplied a mounting "ring" to slip over the push pull tube so that the servo push pull actuator rod could be attached. Sorry...I thought I had pics of my install, but they were dumped from an earlier computer crash.

Rich,

TTrak just got back with me and they do have the mounting hardware along with pic's for suggested installation location.
Very nice and helpful people to deal with.

Thanks for your help.

Chuck

Fantastic. Pictures truly are worth a thousand words.

I find quite often I benifit in ways that weren't even part of the intended theme. For example, in these pics I'm also getting a lot out of the seat mount and tunnel images. Thx Gary.

The more pictures the better, folks. (Subject to the capacity of the website, I guess.)

One of these days I'll put an update on MLM in the projects section.

Trutrak all installed and working great, this should help tremendously on the cross country flights. I installed my pitch servo just aft of the tunnel, the orientation seemed to work best in that location. I did have to fabricate a base for mounting and chose to make my own wiring harness (gluttony) other than that just bolted everything together and it worked!. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture.

Chuck: What did you set your LAT ACTIVITY & VRT ACTIVITY at ? My TruTrak wants to hunt in the altitude hold mode. Once I get this small bug worked out it will be a plus on long legs ! ;)

Rich,

I had three choices while fabricating my wiring harness for sensitivity/activity, normal, low and high. Per note 3 of the wiring diagram, Pin 10 of the connector left open was the normal sensitivity, to ground low and to power high sensitivity. I went with normal and it holds perfectly, no hunting. check pin 10 to ascertain how it was initially set up. Other than fabricating the wiring diagram for "normal" operation, I've not made any adjustments. http://www.trutrakap.com/documents/A...dUserGuide.pdf

I hope this helps and I'm not off on a tangent.

Rich,

Where do you pick up your static air for the AP? Mine is just vented to the cockpit with a 90 degree nylon fitting installed facing down. No hunting! We did get some radio transmission inputs before we put the antenna on the bottom of the plane.

Chuck: Went back to my install instructions and it does not describe pin #10 as you do ? I have the DigiFlt II unit. Went thru the entire book. No mention of "low", "normal" or "high" sensitivity ?

Bob: Interesting about your static choice. When I got my unit and reading the section regarding pitot/static connections and the possibility of connecting the AP to an "insufficient" static source...too many devices connected to one static line causing pitich problems, I decided to plumb in a "dedicated" static line for the auto pilot during the building process (easier to do now than later !) to avoid this problem. I installed a static port opposite to the fus. mounted port for the flight instruments (left fus. side for instruments, right side fus. for the auto pilot). Now that the A/C is down for it's annual and I have the panel apart doing an upgrade, I will disconnect the static line from the back of the control head and vent to the cockpit to see if this fixes the problem ?

Rich,

Sorry to lead you down the proverbial path to know where. Mine is an ALTRAK and is an altitude hold only. There's a Trutrak forum with a thread regarding the same problem your having "Digifligth II ALT Hold problem", the TTTech offering many solutions including the one Bob just mentioned.

No problem. I'll look up the site and see if it's info I missed.
