Concur with Cubes. My steering is VERY responsive and is set up with some tension on the springes. How much ? ??? Not sure ? Just until there is some tension and no slack. I would not like to it have any lag in it from slack in the linkage. Also it looks like you have (3) sets of holes on the rudder horn ? Too hot ? Too cold ? Just right ? ^-^ Not trying to bust your chops, just pass on some info. ;)

Yes, the added holes are trying to find the right ratio, pedals to tailwheel.
Obviously I started with the per plans holes and moved inward, cold, hot, etc.
Nothing is in concrete, just looking for the best spot right now.
I sold a RV3 last fall, put on near 400 hrs over the time I owned it.
I know, different airplane, different rudder horn, same tailwheel.
But tight cables with the right rudder pedal to tailwheel ratio worked best for me.
I do appriciate all the constructive comments.

Try softer steering springs.
