Dick Wolfe and I will be flying down with my Thorp from the 'great white north" if everything goes well at US customs.

Guys,

I was thinking that maybe we should rename the Fredricksburg Fly In to include "International" in the title. Dick Wolfe and I will be doing our best to attend via Thorp from Canada. We expect we will arrive, weather permitting on Thursday.

Looking forward to putting faces to names,

Jim Mantyla

That does concern me a bit. I'm going to give the t6 group a call and see what their head count is. I'm also going to give the airport manager a call and see if we can work out some hangar space, we can fit 2 thorps to a t hangar, if all else fails we can tie down in the grass/dirt.

So in short well make it work ...

Just talked to the airport manager, looks like were in good shape. One way or another we'll have space, however please all bring your tie-downs! The fall back plan right now is to put us all in a row along the taxiway which would require us to provide tie-downs. I do not think it's actually going to come to that but let's err on the side of caution and plan on needing to use them.

On the taxiway ? Does this mean they will have a cable for us to tie down to on the taxiway ? Or along the taxi way in the grass/dirt ? If they have hangers for rent, I can do that also.

No hangars RB, your pretty little girl will have to rough it like the rest of us. I'll verify the tie down situation, that's just worse case scenario. The way I understand it there is a cable or some sort of mechanism to tie to. If it does come to tying down fly-in style would that be a no go?

Hey Rich,
For you rust pickers, improvising and adapting has something to do with 5000 other men on a boat. I just don't want to know.
