Indeed, Rich, the exhaust set I bought from Chris is exactly the same as this: http://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/graphics/33250.jpg
except for the lack of slip joints. I was quite surprised when I received them... couldn't really tell from the pics. I share your concern, Bob, however, these pipes have some time on them... a couple hundred hours, I am told, and there does not seem to be any cracking.

Maybe the pipes grow as much as the cylinders?

Mystery solved.... the exhaust I bought is not a Custom Aircraft Parts 33250... the good folks at CAP tell me it's likely the exhaust off a BEECH 95.... one of the few exhausts out there without slip joints in the cross-over.

Anyone out there have a Beech 95 that needs an exhaust?

After 27 years building this A/C I can pass on a few recommendations: Been there, done that !

1. Don't buy a gauge unless it has a MATCHED sender ! :o
2. For the major components like the exhaust, unless you are "torch worthy" or know someone who is, BUY an exhaust that FITS the engine. CAP. It will save you time and money. ::)

The folks at CAP do a great job !
