Boy has inflation taken it's toll;
The price of a completed T-18 in the 1970 newsletters was about $2500 to $3000!
My 1984 completed T-18 was sold by the builder for $6,000.
I've been working on a RV-8 (for about 14 years...) which is nearly done, so I'm already planning the next, an S-18. I am hoping to buy a partially completed project.
You might call it a Thorp Quick Build.. ::)
I figure you get to buy the material at a pre-inflation price, plus get a discount on the labor that has gone into it sofar...plus it's that much closer to being done!

BOOM! (as Rich would say)

No shock there . Remember when a Sectional was 50 cents and auto gas was 25 cents ! I think AVGas was 50 or 75 cents ? A McDee hamburger was 15 cents . BOOM !
