Hello, My new T18 I just bought has a 68/66 prop pacesetter. It has good top end for speed but poor take off and climb. I changed it and put on a sterba 68/68 and now have great take off and climb but lost my top end speed. nether prop will give me full rpm. The pacesetter is 2200 on takeoff and 2400rpm max in flight. The Sterba I get 2300 in take off and 2500max in flight. Any ideas on a prop. The engine is a 0320 160HP Thanks Jack

I can recommend the Aymar Demuth - went from a Great American to an AD & gained climb & cruise.

Doug,
How bout some data, engine and specs of the props plus the different performance of each. I'm currently flying a 68 x 68 Great American on an O290 (140 HP) and would be interested in the comparison.

I will pull numbers off the old prop (Great American) on Wednesday - I think it is a 68 x 68
With the new AD prop -
O 320 150hp 2200-2250 static (ambient temp. dependent)
SL WOT 2800 ~165kt
single ROC ~1200fpm Gross ROC ~900
It is about 5 kt faster than the old prop & a couple hundred fpm better
