Gent's,

What are you using and where are you getting your rudder return springs? I have one that is bad. The local A&P has a similar one but it doesn't match and is a bit stronger.

Thanks in advance

Hi Chuck, Classic probably has them, I would suggest changing both as the spring rate can diminish over a good long period. One new one just might show you how much the one your going to keep has lost, just a suggestion .......Dan

I got mine from CSA . They are a stiff little bugger ! :P I can send you the specs on the spring if you need them . Easier to buy than make ! ;) I thought I had extras , but they were flap springs . :o

I should have specified rudder "pedal" return springs, I think mine are off someone's bed. Thanks for the info. I'll try Classic Sport (if I can find his #).

Called Mike today, he doesn't have any springs and he isn't going to restock any time soon. I guess I'll have to keep Fraser's a little longer.

Sun N Fun is less than two weeks away. I'll be checking vendors and see what I find.

I got mine from the aviation department of the local farm store. They should be the same so they want to keep the rudder centered. Other than that they just need to be strong enough to keep the cables snug.

Bob and I use a threaded eye bolt through the firewall, you can adjust each spring for correct tension. It will even add a little rudder trim ?
